Digiscape Series

Digiscape is a series of digital landscapes.

The earliest piece, Zen, dates from 2019. I made it for a meditation center, before there was any series. Digiscape itself started in 2021 with Lava, and that wasn’t planned either. I was just curious what a digital ecosystem would look like if it wasn’t trying to copy the real thing. Then came Seabed, then Forest, and somewhere along the way the series found its shape.

Each piece works like a window. Outside it is one landscape I’ve designed for you to see. Sometimes it’s one you know well: a forest, the sea at night, wind moving through falling leaves. Sometimes it’s one you’ve never had the chance to see, like plants answering your touch. I decide what’s out there and how it moves. What you imagine from there is yours.

The formats keep changing. Screens, fulldome, living plants wired to sensors. But it all comes from the same place: being a kid who could stare at an ordinary view long enough for it to turn into something else.
