It remains difficult to perform real-time
simulation of fluid behavior for computer hardware nowadays. The simulation requires
a broad category of knowledge, which includes logic programming, computational
geometry algorithms, and the design of algorithm formula. How to balance
between efficacy and effect under various limitations is still an issue we need
to confront.
What we discovered through this project is
how to increase its playability within different restrictions. People can play
and feel with their hands in this project, which we are thriving to make fluid
simulation more than simply being a visual performance.
對於現今的電腦硬體而言,即時的模擬流體行為還是非常的困難,背後牽涉的知識範疇之廣,涵括了邏輯編程、圖學演算與演算法公式設計。在上述種種的約束限制下,如何在效能與效果間取得平衡始終是一大課題。
此專案在探索要如何在諸多限制下加入更多的可玩性,讓模擬流體不再是單向如影片般只供觀賞,而是能透過雙手去把玩、感受。
